Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead supply chain system implementation and policy development
Drive Supply Chain innovation
Maintain strategic sourcing relationships and development of teaming agreements and partnerships in support of the CUBE structure
Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
Lead and Support Cost reduction strategies
Optimize terms and conditions for increased performance, profitability, and cash flow
Work cross-functionally with finance, contracts, and business development on available government incentives for certain subcontractors and suppliers
Work with legal to draft supplier dispute resolution documents
Support tactical purchasing as needed
Drive Compliance culture into the business.
Sourcing suppliers and maintaining long-lasting relationships with them as well as existing suppliers.
Implementing inventory optimization strategies within the company.
Obtaining quotes from different suppliers.
Negotiating price, quantity, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
Working with legal counsel to ensure that all contracts relating to product procurement contain all details of the negotiation.
Assessing quotes and compiling a detailed assessment of cost breakdowns.
Generating quote comparisons and contributing to internal supplier selection based on the quotes.
Providing solutions to improve company spending and outsourcing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in administration, logistics, supply chain or related field.
Working knowledge of FAR, DFAR
CPSR Experience a plus
Proven experience in sourcing processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
A thorough understanding of sourcing methodologies.
Strong communication skills.
Sound time-management and organizational skills.
Physical, Environmental and Sensory Requirements
Work environment is a typical office setting.
Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, and walking, and occasional bending reaching and lifting.
Limited exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, etc. but generally not to the point of being disagreeable.
May require minimal travel
